Want To Impress Your Significant Other With Sports Stats? Three Ways You Can Find The Recent Sports Games Scores

Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken.

— Oscar Wilde.

Not everyone is a sports enthusiast, but if you are in a relationship with a die-hard sports fan, you might want to learn more about sports, particularly game highlights and sports game scores. (At the very least, it can help the two of you bond over something that could become a shared interest, since sports enthusiasm can become quite infectious.) If you have never watched a game, attended a game or learned something about sports teams, the following information should help you get started by providing you with several sources that will have you impressing your significant other with sports stats in no time.

Fan Pages on the Internet with Game Replays

Sports teams all have their own internet sites now. Even minor league baseball teams have them. The best part is, your boyfriend’s or girlfriend’s favorite teams may also have recordings of the most recent game up on their sites. This is probably  the best way to catch up on past games and game highlights if you want to talk sports with your partner. If the only thing you wanted to know was the final score of the game, the websites list those too.

Daily Sports Section of Your Local or Regional Newspaper

Sports sections are loaded with game stats, scores and highlights, plus the sports section of the paper may be more portable and more readily accessible than a website in some areas (e.g., on a bus, train or plane where the internet connection is sketchy at best). If you have a half hour free while traveling to work or on a flight somewhere, you can easily read up on the sports news. (Just do not be the one driving or flying when you do.)

Sports Bars

If a big game was during work hours and you are not allowed to even listen to the game with earbuds in so that you could talk about the game with your partner after work, then your next best bet is to head to a sports bar after work. Your partner can meet you there and the two of you can relax, unwind, have a few drinks while you watch the game together and dissect its finer moments. (Some sports bars record daytime games on DVRs to play back in the evenings for anyone that worked during the day and during game time.) You would be able to see some or all of the games and learn a lot about sports from your partner while sharing some quality time together.
